• Synopsis: Il cinema ha spesso rivisitato la cronaca accentuando magari i tratti piu’ spettacolari della realtà. Gus Van Sant compie un’operazione analoga ma di segno opposto. Dopo Michael Moore anche Van Sant riflette sulla strage compiuta da due studenti nei confronti di compagni e professori nel liceo di Columbine negli Usa. Lo fa con un film di breve durata in cui si affida a una macchina da presa che pedina alcuni dei protagonisti che diverranno vittime o assassini quasi fosse una candid camera. Ne esce un quadro di desolante vuoto esistenziale, un tunnel che non ha una luce sul fondo. Non c’è più neppure la tragedia. La morte per strage si tinge di banale quotidianità.
