In July, Chasing Coral turned three! Can you believe it? Together, you helped us wake up the world to what’s going on beneath the surface. We’re thrilled to share some special moments along the way that have humbled and inspired us, and dive into what’s next for our team. Since commemorating our first year with this impact video, Chasing Coral’s movement to wake up the world has only grown bigger. In honor of our big day, we’re throwing a virtual birthday party with fun stories and good news from our second year in action. Chasing Coral is an ocean adventure film. It reveals the story of a team of photographers, scientists and other experts who discover and try to capture one of the world’s largest coral bleaching events. It took 3.5 years to make and features over 500 hours of underwater footage with submissions from over 30 countries. We made Chasing Coral to invigorate discussions around climate issues and activate youth to be a part of the solution. Below you’ll find five resources designed to do the same. This Chasing Coral Community Grant will go toward their overall conservation program which includes school programs, a summer camp for kids, a newsletter to inform visitors and residents about our changing oceans, stormwater education program, and even more crucial programs in Florida.
