Kira and her child were abandoned by her husband – a banal story in General, tragic for our heroine in particular. But, as they say, time heals everything: years pass, the bitterness of betrayal ceases to disturb the soul, life is gradually filled with small joys. A new admirer Vadim, an intelligent and decent man, offers a woman a hand and heart. Even Kira's former mother-in-law favors the man and blesses the ex-daughter-in-law for a new marriage. Suddenly, the prodigal husband Alexey appears on the threshold of Kira's apartment after a six-year separation. Literally on his knees, he begs his wife to take him back. The daughter, who has not stopped loving her father, also asks her mother to forgive him. Kira's heart is torn apart, she can't make a decision. A friend advises you to live with your husband and lover, but for our heroine this is an unacceptable option. Meanwhile, it turns out that Alexey has a new family and a child in the North...

A lyrical and philosophical story about the lives of ordinary people: acquaintances and strangers, relatives and just met. Their lifelines are intertwined, but what at first seems random obeys the eternal laws of love…

В основу сюжета фильма легла сказка братьев Гримм "Король Дроздобород", в которой принцесса, исполняя волю отца, вышла замуж за нищего музыканта, оказавшегося впоследствии королем. В современном прочтении сказки авторы знакомят зрителя с независимой и строптивой бизнес-леди Дарьей Кравец, которую "затащить в ЗАГС можно только в состоянии комы". Но после встречи в лесу с простым лесником она не может обмануть свое сердце и влюбляется в него, совершенно не подозревая, что её возлюбленный - олигарх.
