March 27, 1977. At 2:00 in the afternoon, a thick fog rolled into the usually quiet Los Rodeos Airport in Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. On the runway sat two fully loaded jumbo airliners. An explosion at a nearby airport had redirected air traffic to the undermanned airfield at Tenerife. Within three hours 583 people would be dead. This film reconstructs the moments leading up to the tragedy.

The island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands has been a popular destination for European tourists since the 1950s. Before that, travellers on their way to the African colonies would sometimes make a stop at the island.

The mouflon, wild sheep with beautiful curved antlers, were brought to the island as an attraction. Nevertheless, they should not be admired but killed – to add variety to the pursuit of game or control the species numbers on the island. One animal becomes separated from the herd – will it manage to survive? Based on real events, the animation combines the symbolic images of the animal’s escape with the drastic photographs documenting the harm done to the species in Tenerife. The atmosphere of fear and anxiety is achieved by means of pulsating music and black and white colours.

Tenerife is an island that inspires - because of its diversity, its climate and its authenticity. Tenerife is an island with countless charming nooks and crannies. She surprises her visitors with contrasts. A wildly rugged volcanic coast. Dense and magical laurel forests. The lunar landscape of the national park. Picturesque towns with Canarian architecture and traditional craftsmanship. Tenerife is also called: a continent in miniature. And indeed, nature shows its full diversity that no other Canary Island can offer

These figures are born from the terrible way in which the island has been managed during the last decades and currently. An infinite and untenable growth which is threatening more than ever the natural spaces and biodiversity from Tenerife, more and more deteriorated each day. This documentary seeks to boost a change towards real sustainable development, so we can have a future in which we live alongside nature and we can keep enjoying Tenerife (and the rest of the Canary Islands) in their wild and natural state.

1984, Sverdlovsk, USSR. A shy freshman, an entrepreneur, a poet and two charming it-girls navigate life in a student dorm, sharing their griefs and joys, all for one and one for all. Suddenly a horrible accident blows up the life of the dorm when a female student commits suicide. The dorm is a miniature model of the world that encapsulates the full range of human passions, acts of bravery and cowardice, aspirations for virtue and failures, of love, friendship and betrayal.

Finally holidays. Tinka can hardly wait to be away from everyday life for the first time with her twelve-year-old son Paul and her dream man Jürgen. A relaxed holiday is also the right opportunity to convince Jürgen, who is not a wedding person, to take the next step in their relationship. Tinka wants to marry Jürgen, and she wants Jürgen and her son to finally understand each other better.
