In 1994 a 13-year-old boy disappeared without a trace from his home in San Antonio, Texas. Three-and-a-half years later he is found alive thousands of miles away in a village in southern Spain with a horrifying story of kidnap and torture. His family is overjoyed to bring him home. Ghostwriter Tu Cha Cha finds herself reluctantly penning love letters for Miss Wen to hide her romantic escapades. The Imposter deals with the lifestyle and subsequent breakdown of a Christian rock singer. Kevin Max stars as Johnny C, a talented singer who is addicted to oxycodone. After his wife and child leave him, Johnny is fired from the band by leader James, played by Jeff Deyo. Johnny tries to make it on his own but gets swindled by a sleazy record producer and beat up by his drug suppliers. Finally out of options, Johnny travels home to see if his family will take him back.

With the cast list, you would almost expect this to be another Chang Cheh film. Two of Chang's proteges, David Chiang and Chen Kuan-tai go head-to-head in The Imposter which sees cinematographer Pao Hsueh-li back in the director's chair. Chiang plays Ko Liang, as master of disguise who puts his seven faces to good use when he goes to the aid of two young guardsmen Tseng Yung (Danny Lee) and Tseng Kan (Wang Chung) who have been framed by Captain Lo (Chen Kuan-tai) for murder.

A magnificent outdoor evening was made simply by watching Elvis and Emmylou singing together into a single microphone as they shifted back and forth in a bluegrass singing style, we felt nearly transported. You could virtually hear a pin drop, as the crowd of 6,000 were hushed by Elvis and Emmylou's near perfect harmonies.
