A vixen mother invades a chicken coop to provide food for her cubs. She continues to raid the coop until she is shot by a farmer. The cubs are attacked by the farmer and only one survives. An otter trapped in a burrow is rescued by 10-year-old Anders and his six-year-old brother, Kjell. In secret, the boys cage the animal and finally domesticate it. They obtain food for the Otter by fishing through the ice on a frozen lake. The boys manage to keep their secret from their family. On the eve of the May Day festival, Kjell reveals to family and friends the otter's presence. Anders is so distressed that he runs into the woods with the otter. The otter breaks away and returns to its life of natural freedom. The film was a prize winner at the 1954 Cannes Film Festival.

The second Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken movie. The story takes place between episode 18 and 19 of the TV series.

After yet again defeating some of Hadlar's (the leader of the Great Demon King's Army) warriors and saving the princess, Dai and his fellow adventurers are relaxing and helping with rebuilding the island village. Unbeknownst to them Hadlar was usurped by a new demon lord called Galbus, who immediately sets forth to once and for all destroy Dai, using his own sextet of champions. During the initial surprise attack Dai's friend Maam's soul is taken and in order to get it back Dai and his friends must attack Galbus on his chosen batlleground. Will Dai survive this?

Shimajiro to Fufu no Daibōken: Sukue! Nanairo no Hana (しまじろうと フフの だいぼうけん ～すくえ！七色の花～?, Shimajiro and Fufu's Great Adventure: Save the Seven-Colored Flower!) is a 2013 Japanese children's live action/anime film. The movie takes place entirely in and around the Mini Moni Cafè. The Mini Moni Cafè is run by the first generation members of Mini Moni, who are lead by Mari Yaguchi. Mika Todd is the primary baker for the cafè and Ai Kago and Nozomi Tsuji are bumbling waitresses. One day Kago and Tsuji serve a particularly enthusiastic customer (played by Ai Takahashi) who says she has never had such a delicious cake before. When the waitress explain they do not know the secret ingredient that makes the cakes so good, Takahashi decides to sneak into the cafè later find out what it is and steal it.
