Our hero has a dream, while in the trenches at the front, that he is in Berlin rescuing a Red Cross nurse from the hands of the Kaiser and his henchmen.

A creature made from human, animal, vegetable and machine scraps recalls the days when his body was subjected to experiments and transformations in the laboratory, and how his creator gave him an artificial soul. The creature, however, wishes to know the world around it and itself.

Two hybrid characters become fixated by an idea. As they talk to each other they become more and more obsessed with the idea, but the more they talk the less capable they are of translating their ideas into action.
