Together with a pretty editor, Shirakawa heads to the town where the cases occurred. As Aonuma, he gets close to the hidden truth with his formidable powers of deduction.

Dr. H. has set up a charitable foundation that will begin operations after he dies. The filmmaker decides to intervene.

The original screenplay was written for the compilations’ release, taking inspiration from KIRINJI’s songs, as well as from the Melancholy Mellow theme which is also the releases title.
