A short coming-of-Age film about two boys, first love, and a kite that reunites them 20-years later.

A young 15 year old girl, Lamia, lives in a southern Lebanese village on the border with Israel. She is given in marriage to her cousin on the other side of the border. As Lamia crosses the barbed wire she also passes from childhood into adulthood, as brutal as our countries and the events that are to follow.

In a rural area of Balochistan, on the border of Iran and Pakistan, women can only sing in private rituals. Fariba, a teenage girl from this region, wants to sing in public like the boys her age. Can she overcome the gender and racial discrimination that prevents her from achieving her dreams?

At the end of WWII, the Nationalist party of Republic of China, also known as the Kuomintang (KMT), took control of Taiwan and imposed martial law for 38 years. This period is known as the White Terror, where anyone suspected go being a Communist agent was hunted down. Through a 7-year-old girl’s point of view, The Black Kite brings us back to the innocent, yet high-handed time of the 1960s Taiwan.

"The Kite" is a short puppet animated film for kids. It talks about the issue of death, but in a simple metaphoric and symbolic way. It tries to explain the fact that none of us are here forever and all living creatures must die, but on the other hand, to show, that someone's journey doesn't have to end with death.
