A newly graduated young doctor has hopes of making his way steadily in his country, or of traveling to another country in order to achieve his dreams. In the village, he wakes up from his rosy dream he lived before he traveled to a harsh reality, after he is accused of murder.

Edgar, a thirty-something documentary filmmaker diagnosed with OCD, films his routine as he recounts his past and present dealing with this disorder. He has always been supported by the people in his close circle. However, he has never met someone with the same condition, someone who also goes through this mental seesaw. We will meet a young magician and the mother of a boy with OCD, all touched by the same condition and its various faces. Edgar will seek answers to questions that constantly haunt his mind, such as: How on earth have they been able to understand their minds? How have they overcome the various obstacles? And if they have overcome them at all.

The "White Face" Incident occurred on July 24th 1996. The events of the incident were located in the Greenville mines from South Carolina. Miners were reported missing for unknown reasons and when an investigation was finally taking place, they caught the anomaly on video. Their first instinct was to send more people down to learn about this creature but it only resulted in more deaths. Finally, a researcher proposed an idea to send down a small undetectable drone which would be able to find all deceased employees and study the White Face. "Mother, I've Pretty Much Forgotten Your Face" follows the artist, a native of Nihonmatsu, Fukushima, on the 2011 nationwide solo tour celebrating his 60th birthday, which was interrupted by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Traveling, performing and talking with fellow musicians and activists, Endo reflects on the past and future of Fukushima, the legacy of Hiroshima, his upbringing and his feelings about his mother, communicated in the song from which the documentary is named.
