Stawka większa niż życie is a series about the adventures of a Polish secret agent, Hans Kloss, who acts as a double agent in the Abwehr during Second World War in occupied Poland.

The cinema war-action movie takes place partly during WWII and partly in 1975 in Spain. The main characters: agent Capt. Hans Kloss and Herman Bruner, want to find the stolen treasure, putting their lives at stake.

Original movie broken down into a 5 episode series. Hans Kloss - a Polish intelligence agent code-named J-23 - finds a treasure stolen by the Nazis. Kloss's old friend Hermann Brunner is involved in the plot. Kloss, trying to thwart the enemy's plans, tries to save the beautiful Elza from the conflagration of war, for whom he will be ready to risk the safety of his mission.
