BBC 2 produced this documentary on the Oz books of L. Frank Baum and the films and fantasies that they inspired, particularly the first book `The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'. Includes clips from the several silent film versions of the stories produced by Baum that have survived as well as the 1939 film with Judy Garland, and interviews with such enthusiasts as Salman Rushdie, Gore Vidal, Ray Bradbury, Geoffrey Ryman and Nora Ephron.

Surveillance Oz focuses on the use of surveillance cameras in society and how they assist with law enforcement, crime prevention and investigation. It features footage from surveillance cameras or closed circuit television in public areas or private businesses.

Prince Otto has no friends, so he decides to force the Oz Kids into a virtual reality computer game presented to them at Scraps's baby shower. Unfortunately, the patchwork baby gets into the game and overflows the number of players, trapping them in a deteriorating program from which they have little chance of escape. Otto had no wish to actually harm them, and must try to get them out.

A storybook opens to depict little Dorothy on the grey Kansas prairies, when suddenly a cyclone comes up, turns her world to color, and she lands on a Scarecrow, who promptly gets up and walks with her. Mostly unseen by many viewers it stars Jimmy Nail as Oz, and Tim Healy as Dennis, Educating Oz, is a short public information film made in 1986 to highlight the issue of AIDS and how important it is to practice safe sex, using the characters of the popular TV series.
