The Who performed at the Chicago Amphitheater in Chicago, Illinois on December. 8th, 1979. The concert was broadcast live to several local movie theaters. The general consensus was that this show was the best on the 1979 tour. The show was visually stunning. Many times Pete Townshend or Roger Daltrey would move to the front of the stage and direct the cameraman to focus in close, then unleash a mic twirl or scissors kick for the hungry crowd.

Since coming to the United States from Ireland in 1990, real estate mogul Sean Conlon has worked hard to achieve the American dream. The Chicago-based developer has built up a large portfolio of properties and become a multimillionaire in the process. Now he's using his wealth and experience to help others in need. Conlon comes to the aid of struggling property investors whose projects are failing, putting them on the verge of financial ruin. He infuses each project with his own cash, but that lifeline isn't free as he gets a piece of the property and a percentage of the profits in return. With a deal reached, Conlon does whatever is needed to get the property out of the red, even if doing so requires getting rid of the existing contractors and doing the work himself. He falls back on all of his experience to get the properties, which range from single-family homes to multiunit developments, back on track and headed toward the finish line.

Everyone knows that the Chicago Bulls are the team of the 1990s, if not all time. In 1998 they won their unmatched sixth NBA title of the '90s. But this was not the same team that squashed all opponents that stood before them, united and led magnificently by players such as Scottie Pippen and the irresistible Michael Jordan. At the beginning of the 1998 season, this team was anything but united. His Airness was still His Airness, but the rest of the Bulls looked less than a shadow of their selves. Pippen stood injured on the sidelines demanding a trade, Rodman looked more interested in Hollywood and his hair, and the supporting cast were beginning to look extremely vulnerable. But as with all great teams, they dusted themselves off, wiped away the cobwebs (not to mention the odd ego or two), and played out the final two-thirds of the regular season like the Chicago Bulls of old.

You Weren't There: a History of Chicago Punk 1977-1984 is a documentary that looks back on the impact that the Punk movement had on the Windy City. Ending their long strange trip of 50 years, the surviving members of the Grateful Dead played their final "Fare Thee Well" concert at Chicago's Soldier Field Sunday night, urging a massive fervent crowd to take the feeling of the night, "Remember it, take it home and do some good with it - please, be kind.” In honor of the 50th anniversary event, the great Playing For Change released a video of their own cadre of global artists covering "Ripple." "The ripple effect," said Playing co-founder Mark Johnson, "is that the next generation gets to learn to play music all over the world.” Net proceeds from the video will benefit the Playing For Change Foundation’€™s music schools and programs for children worldwide.
