- Synopsis: Nel 1948, in seguito al piano di spartizione delle Nazioni Unite per la Palestina, scoppiano scontri tra arabi ed ebrei. Nell’aprile dello stesso anno, la giovane insegnante Hind Al-Husseini incontra un folto gruppo di bambini piccoli a Gerusalemme. Sono i sopravvissuti al massacro di Deir Yassin. Husseini accoglie i bambini e fonda un orfanotrofio nella sua casa di Gerusalemme. Oggi Dar al-Tifl al-Arabi è il più grande orfanotrofio palestinese che fornisce istruzione a più di 1.500 alunni. Il film parla di come Husseini e i suoi successori colmano le lacune quando lo stato non è in grado di svolgere la sua funzione di fornitore di benessere adeguato.
